A workshop with Eva Leitolf
BerlinWinterWorkshops
Pictures of an Exhibition
We will be working in a small group towards individual exhibition
concepts and -ideas as well as forms of presentation.
Eva
Leitolf (dt./engl.)
This workshop is intended as an opportunity to all those photographers who
have a finished, or almost finished body of work, which they want to present
in an exhibition.

We will be working intensively with the help of numerous examples to explore
the various possibilities of presenting photographs and will be looking at
tableaux, installations, slideshows as well as web-based presentations.
Crucial influencing parameters such as different seizes, arrangements,
sequencing and framing will be discussed, using the participants works. In
addition the workshop will provide some inside information on how to present
one’s own work to gallerists and curators.

Eva Leitolf, from Postcards from Europe
Eva Leitolf has extensive teaching experience in Germany and abroad.
Her own bodies of work, for which she develops complex forms of
presentation, have been exhibited in numerous international exhibitions.
Her most recent completed work, German Images – Looking for Evidence,
addresses the way our society deals with racist violence and explores the
limits of the depictable. This image and text project has been exhibited in
Germany and elsewhere, notably at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.
Eva Leitolf is currently working a project about migration and Europe’s
external borders, Postcards from Europe, parts of which were recently
published in Zeit-Magazin.
