Making Personal Geographies

David Farrell (engl.)

I am interested in having a dialogue with photographers who are working with, or wish to explore, personalgeographies. The notion of mapping a subject or theme through the narrative possibilities of photography allows
photographers of the real world many possibilities to excavate their memories, psyches and philosophies.
In Berlin you will walk and observe, documenting your traces in an alternative cartography.

The workshop will include the making and editing a body of work during the week as well as individual discussions in relation to ongoing projects.
I envisage the workshop as an opportunity to engage in a vigorous, thought provoking debate on the demands of a subjective creative practice within photography.
